Capacity building is at the heart of UBSP’s work. We believe that strong and skilled Business Development Service providers are essential for helping MSMEs grow, become competitive, create jobs, and contribute to Uganda’s sustainable economic development. Through training, mentorship, peer learning, knowledge sharing, and professional development support, UBSP helps members improve service delivery, adopt best practices, and align with recognized BDS standards.

UBSP promotes collaboration among BDS providers, government agencies, development partners, private sector bodies, and other stakeholders to strengthen Business Development Services in Uganda. Through partnerships, networking, and joint action, UBSP works to improve service quality, expand opportunities, and support sustainable MSME growth.
Raising the Standard of Business Development Services
UBSP promotes national BDS standards, professional ethics, codes of conduct, quality assurance, and certification readiness for Business Development Service providers in Uganda. Through this work, UBSP supports professionalism, accountability, trust, and improved service delivery within the BDS ecosystem.
